We all know that custom ties in the form of corporate ties or company ties have long been a thing done by companies and corporates to hand out to clients or staff.

Sometimes, when it comes to staff, it’s as a uniform piece and sometimes its just for wear.

There is a difference when it comes to uniform ties and corporate ties from the perspective that when company ties are created to be part of a uniform, they need to branded accordingly and the focus is not so much on the attractiveness of the tie or the fancy design but rather more on the tie bringing awareness to the fact that these particular custom ties are being worn by employees so in a way, its almost like the staff member wearing a name badge without the name on it.

Company ties are designed this way to create a way for the staff member to stand out from the customer and these type of custom ties work really well in a retail environment for example, not so much these days but very much in the past it was customary for furniture stores to ensure that all staff wore custom ties and corporate scarves and these items were branded significantly with the outlets name all over it so one could absolutely not miss the fact that this was an employee of this particular company and so if the customer was in the outlet and needed help, they could spot the staff member a mile away just by the fact that they were wearing logo’d or branded ties and normally printed ties because printed ties and scarves are bolder in colour and design than woven ties.

So this is what was happening and still to this day does happen in certain retail outlets where staff recognition is key to the customer. The other reason for wearing custom ties and custom scarves of this type of design is also to show that the outlet has an upmarket and smart identity, they want the staff to be decently dressed to promote a feeling of confidence and quality in the customer, I guess there is a lot of psychology involved at the end of the day.

When it comes to the types of corporate scarves worn by the ladies, they are normally long custom scarves as there are many ways in which these scarves can be worn as opposed to square scarves.

Also, long scarves can be cooler to wear and generally just smarter in appearance if tied correctly.

It is also important for the gents when wearing custom ties in this type of environment to ensure that they are knotted properly so the hang straight and that the top button of the lounge shirt they are wearing is buttoned up.

It doesn’t matter whether the shirt collar is regular or buttoned down although I will tell you that button down collars tend to outlast regular collars quite significantly.
