This is quite an interesting question simply because quite obviously and generally tie makers or tie manufacturers who normally make custom ties in various forms such as corporate ties, printed ties, matric ties, branded ties, company ties aswell as custom scarves and corporate scarves don’t normally make things like corporate jewellery or corporate socks.

However, it would not be impossible for this to happen simply because all of these items are so closely linked.

So if tie makers decided that it made logical sense to place them in a position of being able to supply synergistic items, as all of these items are, then the thing to do would be to open up manufacturing of all of these items.

Then comes the challenge in the vast difference between for example the manufacture of custom ties, corporate ties, matric ties and company ties lets say, to corporate socks or corporate jewellery.

Cufflinks for example, which would fall under corporate jewellery, have such a completely different production process to corporate socks or corporate scarves, custom scarves, custom ties and so the list goes on.

Whilst custom ties and custom scarves in the form of printed ties or woven ties are made from fabric and sewn using specialised machines, corporate jewellery is designed, tooled and then cast, so such a huge difference.

Also when it comes to corporate socks made by sock manufacturers, there is also a massive difference between the manufacturing process of custom ties and custom scarves, corporate jewellery and corporate socks- they simply cannot be compared as far as the actual process is concerned.

Granted, processes and procedures may be similar in certain ways but the fact is that there is no similarity between any of the manufacturing processes.

So perhaps I would not be quick to consider this a good idea, it may be better to stick to my knitting and do what I do best and let other operators and manufacturers do the same with their own products.

So what would be better for example is for tie makers or tie manufacturers aswell as scarf makers and scarf manufacturers, if they wish to expand their operation would be to make something that is similar in make up and requires the same type of person to make it.

It would also need to have a hygiene and cleanliness similar to that of the current factory as there should never be much of a difference when it comes to these things.

So for example, it would not be impossible to manufacture custom ties or corporate ties in the same environment as school scrolls or school badges because all of these items require similar procedures even though one involves embroidery and the other one involves printed ties or woven ties.

It would make sense though for the embroiderer to be able to embroider ties which have been manufactured by the tie makers or tie manufacturers. This would be quite clever!
