I was spending some time considering the various applications for custom ties and custom scarves and was really surprised at how many uses custom ties and custom scarves actually have.

Having said that, I think it is important for me to explain exactly what custom ties and scarves encompass and then we can go into exactly what custom ties and custom scarves are all about.

First of all, I need to be clear as to what falls under custom ties as this is pretty much an umbrella term for several other types of ties.

Listing them, not necessarily in order of importance is as follows:

Corporate ties- theses are custom ties made specifically for corporate use, they may well have a fashion element to them but essentially, corporate ties are very much aimed at companies and corporates wishing to have  company ties that promotes either the company, brand or logo.

Normally, corporate ties are handed out to staff and clients depending on the design and application of the ties.

Some companies have corporate ties made for uniform purposes such as certain retailers, especially furniture stores and appliance stores. For some reason in South Africa, it is almost tradition the sales people in particular wear branded ties to look smart, to enable the customer to spot the sales person and also to ensure that there is some sort of decorum when it comes to uniform and dress.

The same goes for these types of businesses when it comes to custom scarves and corporate scarves, both terms mean the same when it comes to the understanding of this particular garment.

Corporate scarves or custom scarves would be very much designed the same way as custom ties either as corporate ties or company ties or as uniform ties.

The design of the ties and scarves will differ quite significantly depending on the use.

For example, corporate ties or company ties would tend to be a lot more upmarket in most cases than for example uniform ties which would most often tend to be more basic in design and sometimes fabric.

It is interesting to note that in most cases, provided that the custom ties and custom scarves are made by a legitimate tie manufacturer, the actual makeup of the tie will not differ significantly.

It may well be that the lining may be a little reduced but that probably about all. The actual make up of the custom ties and custom scarves would be fairly similar.

We could also go into things like club ties and matric ties as both of these custom ties are ordered fairly regularly by the various clubs and schools.

The next logical custom ties would be school ties which come in various lengths and widths depending on the school and their requirements.

It would not at all be unusual to have an order of school ties made up in various lengths to satisfy the requirements of the student.

Younger and shorter boys require shorter school ties or even bobby knots, which are elasticated ties. The length will then increase depending on the childs age until they reach more or less adult length which would be matric or grade 11.
