Once a student reaches Matric, they are virtually an adult albeit a young adult who still has many experiences to undergo and this is exciting!

One of the things that I have always believed in strongly is matric ties so the blog I am writing regarding matric tie designs is quite close to my heart.

Obviously, in order to reach a conclusion, in other words, the finished item being matric ties, one must first go through is to arrive at the  chosen matric tie designs which usually involve a large amount of imput, submission of designs by those students interested in the outcome of the look of the matric ties aswell as most often, a professional designer who is used to designing all types of ties including corporate ties, branded ties and company ties.

We must also keep in mind that matric ties are custom ties, in other words, they are uniquely designed for one purpose alone and that is to be matric ties for whichever schools choose to have matric ties.

I really wish that every school went through the process of matric tie designs in order to reach the desired outcome because having matric ties in a school is really important.

Apart from giving the upcoming matriculant a feeling af achievement by being able to wear a different or special tie, it also gives them recognition in that the tie they are wearing is special, they are custom ties made exclusively for this very occasion, their matric year.

However, I often feel that matric tie designs should be created with more than just one purpose in mind. Essentially, matric ties are also old boys ties or at least they could be if enough thought and intention was put into the matric tie designs produced for consideration.

I do believe that matric tie designs should be created with not only the final year in mind but also to have a life thereafter as a type of old boys tie.

If one is going to achieve this, then the matric tie designs should be complied in such a way that the matric ties are fashionable to not only be worn after the matric year but also to be worn in a workplace scenario should the old student so choose to do this, which means that the design should be well thought out to enable the old student to feel comfortable wearing the tie in a work or function environment or in fact anywhere that may be required.

A really good way to do this is to create a fashion type of tie as the matric tie in order to get the correct effect.

One of the ways of design could be abstract school tie designs showing perhaps a focal or important part of the school for example the entrance or a particular statue or one of the building which makes a person think of their old school when they are wearing these ties(matric ties).

It can also be a talking point amongst the individual and his or her colleagues (yes, there is such a thing as a ladies tie) which I do think would be awesome aswell for this occasion.

So in closing, perhaps the person in charge of matric tie designs should consider the design of these ties as a type of old boys tie or girls tie as opposed to another school tie.
