When I decided to write this blog, I had to put in quite a lot of thought regarding these two product ranges, so lets see where we go with this one.
First of all, Ties South Africa refers mainly to ties made in South Africa or ties made with a south African feel.
Ties South Africa could refer to all different types of ties such as corporate ties, custom ties, branded ties and company ties.
However, it could also refer to school ties which is what I would like to focus on for the ties South Africa section of this blog.
When we talk about Ties South Africa, we specifically mean ties manufactured in South Africa by tie factories or tie manufacturers or as we call both of these descriptions, tie makers.
Very specifically, school ties are required by every school that has a uniform with a tie component in the uniform, which I have to say for the most part, especially in the older and more established government and private schools is a real thing, some of these schools have over fifty different types of school ties for so many different reasons.
For example, they have the standard school ties which are normally striped without a logo or plain with a logo but then they also have sports ties such as hockey, rugby, cricket, tennis etc and for the girls, netball, hockey etc
School ties also consist of ties such as choir ties, ties for various disciplines, interests or hobbies such as chess or believe it or not, tiddly winks and lets not forget the famous debating team ties.
So school ties do not have to always relate to recognised school activities or disciplines either, they can also be handed out for special achievements, these would normally be referred to as recognition ties to be worn on a certain day of the month or week depending on what has been decided.
Although this is a global phenomenon happening in other parts of the world, for some reason, it is very specific to South and Southern Africa ie: Zimbabwe, as there are so many tie weasring schools in this part of the world.
So essentially, the term ties South Africa is quite representative of all those school that have a tie wearing policy and use their school logos and colours within the school ties to denote their school.
When it comes to branded socks, there are several different types of socks other than your fashion sock purchased from a retailer.
For example, there are school socks, normally with stripes but sometimes with the school logo on the socks which personally I prefer because I love the fact that the school uniform pushes the brand(the school), which is great because even schools need recognition and marketing in any and every way possible. As long as its positive of course!
There are also company socks and corporate socks which are essentially the same thing, these two items fall under the term branded socks and would be used primarily to promote the company or one or several of its brands or products.
