ARE BRANDED SOCKS THE SAME AS CORPORATE SOCKS OR COMPANY SOCKS OR SCHOOL SOCKS

Wow! What a big question!  I was posed with this question some time ago and at the time didn’t give much thought as to the connection between branded socks, corporate socks, company socks and school socks, but here goes, I will attempt to break down the differences and similarities between all four.

So branded socks in themselves are a very specific type of sock, not in make up but from a branding perspective.

The term branded socks would indicate that it covers many different types of socks including socks made for fashion or normal day to day wear.

Branded socks can be identified by looking for a specific design or logo within the sock which may indicate a company or team or school, so for this reason branded socks can also be called corporate socks, company socks or school socks.

We all know that the main idea for school socks is that they are worn for a specific purpose at school but invariably, there are several different types of school socks within any school worn as part of the uniform or as sports socks

We also know that when worn as sports socks, there are many variations of school socks for this purpose such as rugby, hockey, soccer, tennis etc which may or may not be the same sock. Certainly, rugby socks would not be used to play tennis.

But I digress. So school socks generally will also be branded socks because they will all carry some form of branding and let me say that this branding does not need to be wording or a logo but can also be stripes as no one school in close proximity to another school will knowingly use school socks with the same colour stripes.

However, when it comes to corporate socks or company socks, this becomes not necessarily more detailed or complex but the fact is that both corporate socks and company socks will have some form of branding on them to acknowledge the company.

This in itself, makes these also branded socks.

So now we have established that both school socks aswell as company socks and corporate socks can also be described or classified as branded socks simply because of the fact that they all have some form of branding on them, be it stripes, various colours, wording, pictures or logos or crests, it really doesn’t matter because branded items are usually bespoke.

The use of branded socks to identify either a school or company makes huge sense and is a highly popular thing to do, especially when it comes to school socks.

We are finding though that branded socks in the form of corporate socks or company socks are becoming more and more popular as novelty gifts, handouts or simply just gifts for the staff.

These socks can be made up as running socks with a padded foot or as calf length socks to be worn more formally.

The fact remains though that to give a person any form of clothing that can be worn in a casual environment replaces the need for them to go and buy the same thing.
