The best thing about custom ties when it comes to the design of corporate ties and school ties is that one can really have fun with custom ties, whether or not it refers to corporate ties or school ties, it doesn’t really matter, the concept and approach to design can be fairly similar sometimes and nothing alike at other times.

I know that sounds a bit contradictory but as we move on with this blog relating to custom ties, it becomes easy to understand that although sometimes there may be little difference in the design of corporate ties and school ties from a custom ties perspective, the basics remain the same or similar.

Over the years, there is no doubt that the design of corporate ties has changed significantly. Apart from often having moved to a more boulder use of design and colours, often the emphasis has moved towards the design of these corporate ties resembling fashion ties.

The reason for this is that the more appealing a tie is, the more it will be worn. This is opposite to the older thinking of how corporate ties should look which back in the day were resembling advertising banners with the company name written all over them.

So if one was an employee and the business was a furniture store(no disrespect meant) then it made good sense and still does to wear a tie with the shop name written all over it so that one was easily identifiable to the customer.

This is one of the reasons why things like custom ties and for that matter name plates are so important because the customer needs to be able to find a person to assist them without too much trouble.

So the whole concept of custom ties starts to take on a whole new meaning when we explore the reasons for design, and there are many for sure!

Custom ties also have their place most certainly when it comes to the design of school ties.

It is incredibly important these days to ensure that when it comes to school ties, the design is towards custom ties as it is really important to try and achieve a traditional but progressive look.

So the design of custom ties, linked to school ties is so important for example in  the custom design of  new matric ties.

My approach to matric ties and I tell this always to our clients when taking on a new design is to design the tie way beyond the matric year need.

The school really needs this particular school ties to be worn beyond matric and into the work place. They almost bridge the gap between normal school ties and old boys ties and once a school manages to find a matric tie that doubles up as almost a fashion type tie, then they have achieved a really food thing because the chance of the tie being worn outside of the school environment is really good.

I am bringing this into the mix because all schools need advertising beyond the school years, they all need the additional exposure.
