Company socks could be classed as corporate socks, branded socks or company socks.
The reason for this is that the three descriptions relate pretty much to the same thing.
This same thing is a sock that is branded in some way to show that the wearer of the company socks actually works for the company or is attached to the company.
Company socks, also known as corporate or branded socks, are those types of socks that somehow distinguish from where the socks originated.
It is most likely that company socks will have some form of identification on them such as wording or a logo that relates to the company who had these particular branded socks manufactured for them.
So basically, I will continue to call them either company socks, branded socks or corporate socks for the purpose of this blog.
When a company sets out to have corporate socks in the form of branded socks made for themselves, there is always a reason as to why it was decided to have these company socks made in the first place.
Let us take a security company for example. Most of the time, branded socks will not be any kind of a big part of their uniform, they would normally supply their staff with plain socks or at best socks with perhaps a couple of rings at the top of the sock just to distinguish them, to make sure most specifically that the wearer of the uniform also wears company socks that match everyone’s socks so that everybody is wearing the same.
It is safe to say that the majority of security companies would want to uniform their staff as best as possible with cost in mind but also to ensure that everyone wears the same uniform. So that nothing is worn that may compromise the look of the uniform for example yellow socks when the mandate is navy socks.
Corporate socks or company socks are without doubt a significant ad to a uniform, especially when it comes to the likes of security companies or for that matter, any company that wears a full uniform.
So let's say then that perhaps the term company socks is more suited to a uniform type minus a fancy logo or wording and that corporate socks and branded socks may be more closely related to socks with subtle or bold branding in some way.
The colours may be that of the company or they may have chickens all over them if it’s a chicken company or even for example bolts and screws if it’s a bolt and screw manufacturer!
So that leads me to say that perhaps corporate socks or branded socks are more of a promotional tool as opposed to a uniform sock which is for all intents and purposes in a sock manufactured specifically to be part of a uniform.
At the end of the day, both types of socks company socks or branded socks or corporate socks all perform very much their own job when it comes to being worn either as part of a uniform or as a promotional item.
