Apart from the fact that school socks tend to wear better and last longer than normal socks, school socks also contribute to the over all look of the school uniform.

In other words, can you imagine a smart school uniform with everyone wearing different colour and length of school socks, how hideous would it look and how much would it take away from the school uniform?

School socks are generally made with the whole focus being on the fact that they need to last longer and stand up to really rough wear and regular washing, so when school socks are knitted, they are done so with the sole intention of ensuring that they will achieve this goal.

Should this not happen and the school socks end up falling apart sooner then they should or shrinking or washing out then the sock manufacturer is very likely to quickly lose a customer.
