One wouldn’t really think that school scrolls and custom ties would have anything really in common other than both being part of a school uniform.

However, on closer inspection, io have come to realise that school scrolls or even school badges are quite closely related to custom ties in the form of school ties or matric ties from matric tie designs or even sports ties and pretty much any type of custom ties for schools.

The reason for this is quite simple- lets take for example school scrolls with the wording “prefect” and then take school ties or matric ties with the wording prefect included or as a stand alone word.

On this basis, school scrolls and school ties of this format become brother and sister in the whole equation.

Both school scrolls and school ties tell a story about the individual wearing these items and yes- school scrolls are worn albeit on a school blazer!

Custom ties encompassing all forms of ties including such ties as company ties, corporate ties, branded ties, printed ties, woven ties, promotional ties (by this I mean a form of custom ties that allows the wearer to state for whom they may work of allows the company who made them to promote their brand or company name). Sports ties, striped school ties and even bobby knot ties and striped school ties, include school ties which are also closely associated with school scrolls and school badges.

The main reason for this association is the fact that for the most part, when a school has a school blazer, they will also have school ties of one form or another.

It would not be uncommon for example to have a first team rugby tie and to also be awarded full or half colours for rugby- hence again, we see the common ground between school ties and school scrolls albeit that all ties made are custom ties including fashion ties for that matter which are not part of this discussion and quite frankly belong in a world of their own separate to corporate ties or company ties or any form of branded ties.

When it comes to being awarded school scrolls to be applied to a blazer (which I really feel is most becoming on a blazer and the more the merrier spells achievement with a capital A), together with being able to wear for example matric ties made from matric tie designs then it constitutes a significant achievement on behalf of the wearer and something to be carried forward in their lives, much like a resume.

In fact I think the fact that a scholar achieves the right to wear school scrolls or special custom ties is absolutely part of their resume going forward and many companies offer positions to young and old people based on their achievements whilst at school.

For example, if a scholar became head boy or head girl and of course then won the right to wear school scrolls on their blazer which may also be a special blazer in this event together with custom ties also relating to this achievement.
