I would say on this note that most definitely school scrolls together with academic scrolls, embroidered scrolls and scroll badges have a synergy with the term school ties.

The reason I say this is because they are linked together being sister and brother when it comes to school uniform or should I say an accessory to school uniform.

School ties are actually,  custom ties but just in another format to for example, company ties or corporate ties, or matric ties based on matric tie designs, sports ties and branded ties aswell as striped school ties, printed ties and woven ties.

All of these ties are custom ties.

The same also goes for ladies scarves which are also custom scarves or corporate scarves however, these do not really exist as part of or an accessory to a school uniform.

So when we talk about school scrolls it becomes necessary to understand and accept that school ties which are custom ties and school scrolls which are not necessary custom made due to the fact that many schools use the same design of scrolls after all, there are only so many specific designs of scrolls that are practical for school uniform use.

School scrolls can almost be compared to for example corporate jewellery in that school scrolls are an add on the school wear as is corporate jewellery for formal wear in the corporate work place.

I find this extremely interesting to think that Matric ties from matric tie designs for example which, by the way are also custom ties, can be linked to something like school scrolls, but the fact is that they are very definitely linked.

School scrolls offer a young achiever the opportunity to show off their achievement, whether it be academics or sport related to all of their peers.

It offers the same person the  opportunity to show a younger person in the school environment that it is possible to receive recognition by achieving the right to wear school scrolls and in my mind, this is healthy and positive, it is always good for a younger person to achieve because of the fact that they have seen someone else achieve.

When it boils down to matric ties for example which cannot be produced without matric tie designs as they represent a similar achievement in that  the persons wearing the matric ties have achieved a suitable level of seniority simply by staying at school and reaching their matric year.

I this day and age, I think we have to believe that there are many young people not wanting to attend school, so in my mind, anything that can encourage or spur someone on the achieve something that has been shown to them as achievable is a really good thing.

After all, it is a really good thing for any person, never mind a young person at school to take an example from someone who has achieved and try to emulate this achievement.
