It is generally known that most tie manufacturers make custom ties, the reason being is that custom ties encompass all different types of ties for school ties to corporate ties to company ties, club ties, security ties and in fact just about any types of ties are custom ties.
So when we discuss custom ties, we mean any type of tie made by tie makers or tie manufacturers.
I have to say aswell that custom ties also extends to custom scarves or corporate scarves, they all form part of what tie manufacturers do- they make neckwear for both men and ladies.
This has been going on for hundreds of years, in fact since the Croatians invented what at the time were probably more like ladies scarves as opposed to mens ties as they tied around the neck and were worn in different colours to mark the regiment that the Croat served in, during the Great War so this is essentially where custom ties and custom scarves came into their own and were recognised as having value in the quest for an individual to create for themselves some form of belonging.
It is no surprise then that today, we still have lots of colourful scarves sworn by ladies, some corporate scarves and some fashion scarves but yes, at the end of the day, all of these scarves are custom scarves.
In linking this information to the history of custom ties and custom scarves, it is important to note that the beginning of time for custom ties and scarves was probably earlier than this period but that this period is where custom ties and custom scarves really cam into their own and became recognised for what they are which is far more than how they look.
When it comes to school ties, the whole idea behind for example school ties is essentially to bring young people together under one banner, being school ties to give them a sense and form of belonging.
Could you imagine schools without ties and blazers and those uniform pieces that pay homage to the history and reputation of the school itself.
Tie manufacturers have such an important job on their hands to make sure they manufacture school ties for example that will as far as possible stand the test of time on the basis that school ties are probably the most abused items on earth- they are picked at, pulled on and generally mis treated to the point where one would think that they would just fall apart but due to the nature and strength of the tie and the expertise of tie makers or tie manufacturers, believe it or not, many school ties do reach their full life expectancy which should be a couple of years but sometimes ends up being the full 6 years!!
And some of them do make it!! Falling apart at the seams maybe, gnarled and grizzled on the ends with all life strangled out of them but every morning, they do the job of representing the school and the wearer!!!
