WHAT DO COMPANY TIES AND CORPORATE JEWELLERY HAVE IN COMMON?

Historically in South Africa but not so much recently, company ties and corporate jewellery were peas in a pod so to say.

By this I mean that most of the time in days gone by and hopefully to come, when a company bought company ties or as we also refer to them, corporate ties, custom ties or branded ties, they usually purchased corporate jewellery at the same time very much because the two items when hand in hand to further enhance the company image.

It was a wonderful thing to behold when a company enquired about doing corporate ties or custom ties and also they would like to consider corporate jewellery as a serious option simply because I always believed that the two items were so interlinked that it almost should be a must that they ordered both items.

By corporate jewellery, I refer to the key items that were mainly and still are ordered, these being cufflinks, nameplates, pin badges and tie clips.

Corporate jewellery is one of those items that can be classified as a gift or an award or just as a tool to further enhance and promote the company name and ethos.

Corporate jewellery is also one of those items, along with corporate ties, company ties or custom ties and custom scarves that carry a perception of a much higher value than the actual cost of the item which is always great for the giver of the item because as a company when handing out branded items, they want to achieve two objectives, these being recognition and the other appreciation.

So if the item, for example corporate jewellery, has an actual cost of R100.00 but a perceived value of R300.00 then the company handing out the item has a chieved at least one of their goals, this being appreciation simply due to the perceived cost of the item, not to mention the fact that they are likely chuffed at receiving such a beautiful gift with a perception that the cost is high so they have been gifted sufficiently.

Company ties and corporate scarves have the same perception of value as against actual cost which makes the act of handing out one of these items, being corporate ties or custom scarves quite an intelligent move.

By doing this, a company or corporate achieves a number of goals such as brand enhancement, promoting of the name or logo to clearly be seen by those around the wearer of the item.

If the items are long service ties or long service scarves then there is also the appreciation aspect because the handing out of these items ensures staff appreciation from the company and recognition of their years of service.

All in all, incorporating these two items together makes an enormous amount of sense and no doubt, it always makes a fine gift or long service recognition when an individual or staff member receives such a gift. How special!
